Antitrust gets no complaints from financial firms on Wildberries
MOSCOW, Aug 24 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has received no complaints from the financial market’s participants about Wildberries because of the online seller’s decision to grant discounts for payments via national payment systems, a watchdog spokesperson told PRIME late on Monday.
“Upon receipt of the relevant applications, they will be considered by the authority for violations of the antimonopoly law duly,” the spokesperson said.
Wildberries said on August 17 that it cut prices for the goods paid for through Russian payment systems – cards MIR, the Faster Payments System (FPS), and service SberPay. The move was criticized by international systems Visa and Mastercard.
